• Ledo comes from an ultra-specialised militaristic society that exists for the singular purpose of combating the threat of the Hideauze.
• He has been trained for combat and nothing else. His knowledge is limited due to having lived his entire life in space, so almost everything perceived as normal to anyone who has lived on a planet is strange and new to him. When he tries to do non-combat tasks he tends to be terrible at them and he doesn't have much of an imagination at all either.
• As soldiers are not permitted to have personal possessions during military service and there is no concept of currency in space, Ledo never seeks out more for himself than what is strictly necessary for survival and he never considers an alternative unless someone insists on showing him.
• Ledo has no expectation of an end to his personal responsibility as a soldier. He believes firmly that his sole purpose for even existing is to fight and kill more Hideauze, as he has always been taught. To tire of fighting or become too weak to fight, the only recourse is death.
• Ledo has been taught according to the Galactic Alliance's philosophy, which does not have a moral code other than to eliminate the enemy.
• In speaking, "Hideauze" and "enemy" are used very interchangeably, suggesting that there is little separation conceptually. Unless otherwise directed not to and given an explanation, he will regard anything designated as an enemy with the same cold logic as he does the Hideauze and eradicate the threat without hesitation. In his own words: “Does eliminating the enemy necessitate a reason?”
• He struggles to understand lesser conflicts and views them as petty and unproductive.
• Ledo has been conditioned to feel nothing and have no personal opinion even about beliefs and practises that might be considered cruel to others. If the Galactic Alliance says it's correct, he accepts it even if he doesn't understand it.
• He will definitely have opinions about what other people do and make comparisons to what the Alliance considers to be proper conduct. He will bluntly call out disorganisation or inefficiency.
• Ledo is constantly dealing with new information and beliefs that conflict with what he knows. He has a tendency to deny or dismiss things in the moment even as he's actively experiencing them, like saying "No way!" to being told he's on a planet with a breathable atmosphere even though he's standing outside, breathing the air.
• Despite the discrepancies and his own confusion, Ledo continues to seek out more information and is willing to engage in discussion when others challenge him on things.
• If challenged directly on the topic of the Hideauze and his need to combat them, he may choose to stubbornly stick to his side and refuse to accept any disagreement.
• He is a lot more sentimental than he realises thanks to having memories that he has been conditioned to repress. He claims to have thrown away everything he doesn't need to shape himself into the perfect soldier but spends his free time carving shed Hideauze nails into ocarinas with his laser pistol, a practise he picked up from someone in his past he's forgotten. He doesn't actually know that what he's making and doesn't even understand why he does it in the first place but is willing to accept it because it serves as a meditation and so is justified.
• Ledo has also been conditioned to have an extremely limited emotional range, perhaps because biometric readings are constantly being recorded and analysed by AIs like Chamber, so there is no need to react when a change in heart rate or brain waves will provide a clear answer.
• He tries to remain calm and logical as often as possible, but will react with genuine feeling when things catch him off-guard.
• Some emotional responses such as crying are completely foreign to him altogether.
